Montana Midwives

The only independent childbirth classes in northern Stevens County. Classes incorporate the Birthing From Withing philosophy; however, we tend to think of our classes as "birth circles" rather than a structered class with a teacher and students. We encourage discussion, questions, friendships, and sharing!

I have been a practicing home birth midwife for over 20 years. My practice centers around parent responsiblity and education; I truly believe that birth is a natural process that occurs most sacredly in the home when the mother has had a healthy pregnancy. I believe that parents have not only the right, but the responsibility, to make health decisions, including where and with whom they give birth, according to their beliefs and lifestyle. My practice centers around these beliefs; I work in partnership with the parents who hire me.
I work in a huge area, and often travel fairly long distances to births. I am open to working outside of my area.
